Some good friends are giving us the heads up from New York Toy Fair 2013, so stay tuned for some hot pics!
Hit refresh as I get the pics and prepare to hit you with some info on the blasters themselves from my own hands on experience!
It would appear that many of the blasters I played with are missing from the New York Toy Fair - i'm hoping contacts there can do a thorough job of checking Nerf stand out. I'm going to hold-fire on releasing info on accessories and other news my NDA prevents me from speaking about. I appreciate your patience with me on this, I will not disappoint.

Feb 12/03/2013: Exclusive info: Inspired by Fan feedback and Mods - The new Vortex XLR Discs offer Trick Shots and allow fans to further customise the blaster to your style of play.
You could have the same 5 Vortex blasters but all completely behave differently due to the different Trick Shot discs (XLR Quickshot, XLR Sidewinder, XLR Ranger+++). Can't say any more than that right now.
Waiting for more NDA stuff to be cleared. Enjoy! How will this affect your game? Is this something you expected? Let me know! I need your feedback!

Many thanks for the heads up to my Professional LinkedIn associate Terrence O'Brien from Engadget for taking the time to fulfill my request in raiding the Nerf stand! and as always his fun yet honest and thorough article on the Appteractive Rebelle accessory. Many thanks to Edgar Alvarez for the pics*+
The costing for the Appteractive accessory will be retailed around $19.99, the Barrel Xbow should be $25.00 and Heartbreaker at $20.00 - the software is completely free to download and operate thereafter.
I will be posting up my notes and answers from my interview at London Toy Fair 2013. I need to check my NDA before I name the larger sister to the small Xross shot. The Rebelle bow is the staple line in the range, and the mechanism works with a primer like regular N-Strike/Elite blasters, however like the movie Hunger Games, there is an option to prime the bow, for a 1off extended range shot. Something budding archers can look forward to. A "sniper" if you will. The other blasters they have not shown take advantage of this mechanism which gives Rebelle a uniqueness. Accessories - some were shown here, but I need to confirm my NDA before I speak about the others. Rebelle takes a range of collectible coloured Dart Tags that work on the various jerseys. We will *not* see any new DT as previously confirmed.
One of Hasbro's plans for all the new ranges, is to make them affordable and within reach for all customers. This works in their favour a) lets face it - they make more money b) fans get to experience everything and take it home at the end of the day and c) this opens up more feedback and more modding for the NIC to help shape next gen Nerf.

very cool stuff
ReplyDeleteAgreed, NDAs suck.
ReplyDeleteNDAs do suck, not sold on the flames and spaltter designs on the vortex stuff. curious that there is no nitron on the wall with the rest of the vortex line. very interesting that the big bow goes back to the large arrows and the heart breaker shoots regular darts. my review to follow on my site. love all the work my last dart.
ReplyDeleteIt's new it's fresh, plenty more to come :) Thanks and look forward to catching your thoughts!
DeleteSo is this a bad time to buy any of the pre-existing elite blasters? Are these all of the new guns or is there more? Please tell me if NDA prevents you from answering :)
ReplyDeleteYou have not even begun to see the start of what is to come :)
DeleteInteresting to see the Vortex series take on the Pyragon colour scheme.
ReplyDeleteSo by now have we seen everything besides the 9-9-13 lineup or is there more besides those big, secretive discombobulation machines?
ReplyDeleteExpect more. You haven't seen the start. Start saving for Xmas my friend.
DeleteOK please tell me nerf is gonna come out with a sniper rifle?
ReplyDeletethey have made one it's called the longstrike
DeleteI'm real excited on the revamped Vortex line but not sold on the 'flame' design.
ReplyDeleteAlso on the box art of the repainted Vortex blastersit shows something like exclusive-coloured discs for each of the blasters. Diatron looks to have black discs, Proton with blue discs and Praxis/Revonix with orange discs, and Pyragon with green discs.
Great job with all this eye-candy MyLastDart!Your blog's awesome! :)
the rebelle crossbow is a reshelled strongarm, yeah they totally built up the line from ground. plus the handbow is pretty much a firestrike.
ReplyDeleteAs far as a brand like Nerf is concerned a reshell is building something from the ground up. I'd agree with you if it was just a strong arm repaint. Plus the internals are slightly different for the crossbow as it primes from the bottom not from the top.
Delete/Agree.
Deletenorablindsided - did you expect these priming mechanisms? Have what you have seen so far, blown your original ideas of what you expected in a firing system out the water?
I was kind of hoping that the crossbow system would be fired in similar fashion to a crossbow instead of what looks like a similar system a hybrid of the rough cut/strong arm. Albiet, it is rather hard to tell if the crossbow's string does have some sort of role, as in the photos, it does look like it's hooked up to something, but in the video it looks like it doesn't play any role in the firing of the dart. It's hard to tell.
DeleteWhat I am amazed with is the Vortex blaster. Have you seen the internals for this one yet? I'm curious as to how they turn the discs over since they seem to be loaded on their side instead of flat like every other vortex blaster.
What is the blaster In the pic of a bunch of elite blasters and blazin bow on the bottom right?
ReplyDeleteAll i know is(right now)that nerf vortex revonix360 is my favourite vortex blaster so far.
ReplyDeleteGood work with squeezing as much info as you can out of Hasbro!
ReplyDeleteI'm rather hyped for the 9/9/13 release, whatever that may be. (Do you already know about it, just that you got NDA'd?)
Thanks very much Anonymous for the good words.
DeleteMan, forget 2013 - I wanr 2014/15! LOL I have played with the full range, I am unable to say anything until my NDA ends.
Believe me, no one is expecting what's coming :)
So...same Anonymous here. :D
DeleteWhen does your NDA end?
It was extended to June 2013. It still stands, i'm trying to get it eased up or dropped. I'm at their mercy :/
DeleteDoes it only end for certain parts or in June will you be able to tell us of 9/9/13 and beyond
DeleteDartsvsfireGnerf - hopefully the embargo ends in June, and I can unveil everything!
Deletei dont know if any one realisted but at 2.19sec as the camera pans over to follow the vortex disks the rep shoots to the other side of the room in the toyspy video you can see the 3 new secret eliet blasterblasters.
ReplyDeleteIt look like a eliet longshot with new stock section.
and 2 smaller blasters that i cant make out that might just be the same blaster but hanged up from both sides.
and then a boxy looking blaster kinda like a cut down volcan.
I tried looking with 1080p but I couldn't see what you are talking about, I can't make out anything with the blur.
DeleteI can see the Retaliator at 2.18, but if they had stuff on display at the Toy Fair I would have thought that some other blog would have picked up on it (unless the whole thing has it's own NDA, which I might but I wouldn't have expected that)..
DeleteOh man that Revonix and Rebelle mission kit gun look super awesome. I also really like the new Vortex paint designs.
ReplyDeleteI think the vortex series should keep the futuristic paint deco instead of the hot rod flames. Seems too cheap when it should be like futuristic nerf guns ...
ReplyDeleteI agree, The Pyragon and Diatron were great steps in the right direction. Hopefully the paint schemes on the Vortex blasters we see on the wall are some sort of promotion, like Whiteout or Gear-Up...hopefully
Deletewhat happened to my old comment?
ReplyDeleteHi Max you left the original comment here:
Deletehttp://mylastdart.blogspot.co.uk/2013/02/hasbro-conference-news-part-1.html?showComment=1360503094216#c5392563651336658723
ok....now i only know two guns....Heartbreaker bow and the Xcrosshot..still wondering about the Wildshot,Wishshot and that 2 crossbows...
ReplyDeleteI'm curious, on the wall you can see a bag of what looks like Vortex glow-in-the-dark disks and a clip. Does that mean we can soon buy the Vortex glow-in-the-dark clip separately from the Lumitron?
ReplyDeleteThis is correct. a 10 disc GITD with mag.
DeleteThose have been in stores for a month or so now, along with the N-Strike Elite Firefly Tech clip. Where the hell have you been?
Deletewait so there is Crossbow (unoffical name),Heartbreaker Bow
ReplyDelete,Wildshot,Wish Shot,Xross Shot?
Correct - and not even the full range :)
Deleteso the guns in the sneak attackers pack is the Wish Shot...the Xcross Shot was renamed to PINK CRUSH Mini Crossbow...and the gun in the Alpha girl mission kit is Wildshot?
DeleteDoes the Revonix 360 have the ability to fire only 1 disc at a time, or is it stuck in double-fire mode like the Diatron is?
ReplyDeleteOkay, so you know how you said (not here, in some other post) some of the new gear will be good because it'll keep out tactical rails free? Well I have a theory, and I know you'll probably get NDA'd but if you know that I'm wrong (and you can tell me as much) it'd be good to know.
ReplyDeleteSo you know how there's no top rail accessories yet (except the pinpoint sight, which is really just a promotional tool)? Well what if Hasbro are planning to unveil something they've done with Lazer Tag and now Rebelle, what if they're bring in the smartphone based HUD system to N-strike Elite?
Speaking of which, does anyone know if the Rebelle system can even tell when you take a hit or if you have to manually tell it that you go blasted?
They should have a system is liar to a clip in the heart breaker bow, it just goes on top and slots into the top arm to make the bow absolutely awesome
ReplyDeleteThat last photo is the arctic shock by the way
ReplyDeleteOh hell no, why do girls get the tac rail i phone holder?
ReplyDeleteNothing keeping you from putting it on an N-Strike or N-Strike Elite (or Super Soaker for that matter) blaster and playing along with them.
DeleteSo summing up multiple posts etc. there is a 100 dart chaingun blast capable off 75+++ ranges in fall, feel free not to comment if you can't
ReplyDeleteSeriouly be nice if nerf finally made a semi auto nerf megadart blaster that actually works like the stampede with a 15 shot mag just to varythings.
ReplyDelete
